Chemwatch - Gold Standard MSDSs and Summary Sheets
What is the Chemwatch database of Gold Standard MSDSs and Summary sheets?
Chemwatch is a database of more than 180,00 independently researched and unbiased MSDSs in a standard format. In addition to 40,000 pure substances, Chemwatch also contains 140,000 other materials from common cleaning agents to drugs, paints, infectious substances and even explosives. It is, by far, the largest database of its kind and has grown with quarterly updates for the past 20 years. Chemwatch serves as the core of hazcom, first response, safety and research for more than 3000 organizations and 10,000 sites globally.
Each Chemwatch MSDS offers details not generally provided by manufacturers. Chemwatch reports are easy to read and are rich in graphics and color to represent risks. They included cautionary symbols for PPE, NFPA, WHMIS, GHS and the EU. Every chemical includes the valuable Chemwatch Hazard Graphics to quickly identify the level of acute and chronic toxicity, reactivity, flammability and corrosivity.
Each of the 180,000 materials in Chemwatch are accompanied by a one-page summary sheet plus separate reports for local regulations, emergency response, fire fighting report, medical advice, first aid and more. Included in Chemwatch are the full ERG and CHRIS manuals as well as research monographs from IRIS, WHO and other organizations.
At the push of a key, each MSDS plus the interface is available in 35 languages and multiple compliant formats such as GHS, EU, Chinese and others.
Included in Chemwatch are powerful Label Creation and Form Generator tools that allows you to design and print a custom label in any size for each of the chemicals (and languages) in the database. The label system includes default documents for Tremcards, Safety Cards, IATA, GHS forms and other common shipping documents.
The Chemwatch Database is available on the PC, LAN, WEB or through a PDA and has been updated quarterly for eighteen years.
How can Chemwatch Gold MSDSs help your organization?
Accurate, effective and easily understood -Chemwatch Gold MSDSs and other documents provide worker safety, regulatory and first response information well beyond what is usually provided by chemical and material manufacturers. They are designed to be easily read and understood and the entire database of documents is updated quarterly. Chemwatch documents are the preferred MSDSs for training, research and especially regulatory compliance. Chemwatch documents are reliable and will form the core of the hazard communication program for even the largest organizations.
Cost effectiveChemwatch Gold MSDSs linked to the massive database of supplier sheets in the Collection represent the most cost effective way to quickly and efficiently build your site specific inventory of documents and to keep these documents updated. The more chemicals you use the more you need Chemwatch to save time and money while improving your safety program.
One source for valuable and needed informationChemwatch has collected information into one source that you cannot find combined elsewhere. Our research provides information as diverse as physical properties, tox and ecotox values, glove recommendations for thousands of chemicals, odor safety factors, isolation and evacuations zones, shipping information for land, sea and air, symptoms of exposure and medical advice and much more in easily understood documents. Whether you are a worker on the floor, a responder in an emergency or an IH or EHS specialist, the first place you will look is in the Chemwatch database.
Global compliance – When you can’t find an MSDS or label in a locally compliant language or format the Chemwatch database is the most preferred and often the only alternative. Chemwatch sits on oil rigs in the South China Sea, mining sites in New Guinea, plants in China and India and even fire stations in Japan and the Mideast. We add several languages each year and all our languages and documents are included in the same low cost subscription.
